Celebrating Women in Leadership for Life

One of the ways we are celebrating International Women’s Day 2017, is to show appreciation for women in our WILL community through collage. The women in the images below have been featured in or written a blog on our site. It’s a joy to look at and post these photos of women who share our commitment ‘to live our full expression and leadership best’ and who, in their unique ways, are shaping the future.

Featured above and with links – click on the name – to a blog or a personal website are:  Shelley, Marie, Jan, Ashleigh, Kirea, Colleen, Angelina & Kara.  And there’s more:

I feel fortunate to have connections with these gifted women. And as I was ‘feeling into’ that appreciation, a sea of images of other women in my life who make a difference in the world, came to me.  Images of my daughters, granddaughters, sister, sisters-in-law, nieces, and so many other colleagues and friends, and of course, my mom, pulled on my heart as I thought of depth of caring and contribution of women in my communities.

Showing appreciation is just one way to make women and women’s work more visible. The theme for International Women’s Day 2017 is BeBoldforChange and the suggestion is that we take action in the following ways:

  • Challenge bias and inequality
  • Campaign against violence
  • Forge women’s advancement
  • Celebrate women’s achievements
  • Champion women’s education

We look forward to hearing about your ‘actions’.

Joyfully, Linda McCann

Thanks to our Program Coordinator Tracy for putting together the collages.
